Industrial Floor Coating

INDUSTRIAL FLOOR COATING

Materials and Systems

The material that comes to mind first when talking about ‘industrial floor coating systems’ developed in the 1990s is composite chemical (resin) coating material and its application systems. These are next-generation products that are widely accepted and used in various areas around the world. There are 4 different coating materials that have the same chemical base but have been developed with special formulas for much more specific uses; Epoxy coating, Polyurethane coating, Polyurea coating, Polyaspartic coating.

Monoblok, with its 25 years of experience and more than 20 million m² of experience, knows very well which material to apply on which surface based on the need. The most widely used industrial floor coating material is epoxy. Industrial epoxy floor coatings are a type of chemical resin from the thermoset group that is highly resistant to water, acid, and alkali. They do not lose their properties over time. The epoxy system generally consists of epoxy resin and a curing agent. This is because the individual molecules (monomers) in epoxy resin combine with the curing agent (hardener) to form long polymer chains. This combination creates a rigid polymer once the mixture cures.
